Just a brief note about life here in the Flowers household.

D got his adenoids removed and tubes put in on Friday (1/5) and is still in a lot of pain from it. Not knowing how that feels i can't say that this is an abnormally long period of time for it or not. He hasn't slept much and holds his ears all the time.

J has the flu. That's right. The kids and i all got the flu shot in December and now we have the flu a month later. I think the boy across the street gave it to us as he was out playing with us the day after his fever broke from a "virus". Everything the mother told me about the "virus" indicates the flu. I personally am surprised he was able to play, but he definitely wasn't himself that day. Today is the fourth day of a 104 fever for Jeremy and so we took him to the doctor (why do kids always get the worst symptoms on a late friday afternoon thru the weekend?) to see what was up. He tested positive for the flu. *sigh* Same spiel nothing they can do, continue what i am doing. Ok well at least i know what it is now.

I am starting to cough some and so is D. Most likely we will all become ill from this. Sure am glad i got the shot.

UFO RR update. I figured out (with some help from the internet and Annette) that there were two beads in the wrong boxes. So while i was almost done beading the sky, i have to take out all of one type and put the right one in. Ok so i knew in my mind that there aren't THAT many red stars in the sky. Also i have to figure out how to unbead parts of the dress that should be in the sky and get the right beads in there without having to rebead the whole thing. It looks great though. The fabric was a perfect choice.
